🎉🛝 What an incredible moment for our community! TheMitt.TV was on the ground from day 1 until the grand opening of the Romeo Village Park Playscape Project — a dream that became reality thanks to the incredible partnership between Kaboom, the Village of Romeo, the Downtown Development Authority, the Ralph C. Wilson Jr. Foundation, Peopledriven Credit Union, Earth Environments, the Romeo Robotics Team, and countless dedicated volunteers who showed up and put in the work! 💛

This beautiful new playground was designed so that every child of every size and every ability can come and play in the heart of our community — and watching Romeo come together to make it happen was nothing short of inspiring. From the Spirit of Romeo Awards presented to Kaboom and the Ralph C. Wilson Jr. Foundation and the Recongnition of Placemaking awarded to our very own Ruth A. Ridenour Heidebreicht - to the 3rd day of construction Ribbon cutting countdown ending in a big KABOOM — this was a day our community will never forget! 🎊

There are so many people to say thank you to on this community project and I have hopes that the 'ALL' know the important part each one of you played in making this project a success for our 'littles'. From Jeff Foltz who championed our concrete footings and saved us so much time to Julio the homeless man who has been sitting in our village park for weeks trying to survive a debilitating addiction- jumping in to help all day long to make a difference. It was the epitome of 'It takes a Village' and this community project was just the beginning of the positive force that has taken this Village of Romeo back into progress and positive movement forward.
